and she certainly lives up to her name taking Top Puppy honors for 2003
from the Mile-Hi Golden Retriever Club! In addition to being championship
pointed, Vegas also excels in the agility ring, finishing four agility titles in
five trials by the time she turned two.
A
bundle of energy, Vegas started her show career with a bang -- coming
home
from the 2003 GRCA National Specialty with a third in the 6-9 Puppy Bitch
class
out of 63 entered and a third in the 6-9 Sweepstakes out of 51 puppies
entered.
At the Rapid City Kennel Club show in October 2003, she took a 5-point
major
reserve and a Puppy Sporting Group 1.
Vegas comes by her showy attitude naturally. Her full brother, CH. SHR
Hillock's Walk This Way JH WC, went Winners Dog/Best of Winners at the 2003
GRCA National Specialty; and another full brother, Hillock's Magical Forest
Walk CDX RE MH MX MXJ AXP AJP WCX VCX, is very accomplished as well. Vegas' father, CH. Hillock Meredreme's Kazaam OS, finished his championship
at 10 months old; and her full sister, Hillock's Get Shorty CD RA OAP OJP
WC VC, had both her majors by 7 months.
